Jonny Lang (Discografia)

Jonny Lang (nascido Jon Gordon Langseth Jr. em 29 de Janeiro de 1981, em Fargo, Dakota do Norte) começou a tocar guitarra aos 12 anos após seu pai levá-lo para ver a Bad Medicine Blues Band, uma das poucas bandas de blues em Fargo. Lang logo começou a tomar aulas de guitarra com Ted Larsen, o guitarrista da Bad Medicine Blues Band. Vários meses depois de Lang começar as aulas de guitarra, ele entrou para a Bad Medicine Blues Band, que foi renomeada para Kid Jonny Lang & The Big Bang.

A banda foi a Minneapolis e lançou o disco independente Smokin. Lang assinou com a A&M Records em 1996. Ele lançou o aclamado disco Lie to Me em 28 de Janeiro de 1997. O próximo disco, Wander This World, foi lançado em 20 de outubro de 1998 e ganhou uma indicação ao Grammy. Logo após foi lançado o Long Time Coming em outubro de 2003. Lang também fez um cover de Dying to Live de Edgar Winter. O mais novo disco de Lang, com influência gospel, o Turn Around, foi lançado em 2006, e mais recentemente Lang ganhou o seu primeiro Grammy Award.

Lang casou em 8 de Junho de 2001 com a atriz Haylie Johnson. Eles atualmente moram em Los Angeles, California.

Em mais de dez anos de estrada, Lang fez turnê com os Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, B.B. King, Jeff Beck e Sting. Em 2004 Eric Clapton convidou Lang para tocar no Crossroads Guitar Festival para angariar fundos para o Crossroads Centre Antigua.
